Cambridge Cleantech is proud to announce the return of the Cleantech Venture Day (CVD) and Climate Tech SuperCluster Showcase, taking place on the 25th of June at KPMG’s headquarters in Canary Wharf, as part of the London Climate Action Week.
This flagship event in London is the second in a series of three conferences that bring together the UK and Europe’s most promising climate tech innovators, investors, corporates, and economic development leaders for a full day of pitches, panels and networking.
This year’s theme is ‘Powering Climate Tech: Private Capital and Partnerships for a Resilient UK and EU Future’, which reflects the growing momentum around climate innovation as a driver of sustainable economic development. CVD London will explore how private capital, deep tech, and collaborative ecosystems can each accelerate the transition to a low-carbon economy.
The day kicks off with an exclusive investor-only breakfast session featuring insights from leaders such as BloombergNEF and Innovate UK. The main programme starts at 11:00 AM with keynote speakers—including Simon Virley, Vice Chair & Head of Energy & Natural Resources at KPMG UK, and Sai Shivareddy, Founder & CEO of Nyobolt—followed by two pitching sessions spotlighting pre-seed, seed, and Series A startups from across the climate tech spectrum, featuring highly-promising companies selected by an expert panel of judges.
Sylvie Russell, COO of Cambridge Cleantech, said: "I'm thrilled by the selection of companies for CVD London this year. These SMEs are bringing a wide range of genius solutions to problems in the energy, transport, and circular economy sectors that the world needs right now.
"As with every year, it was impossible to whittle so many applications down to just this small cohort, and even harder to squeeze all of those selected into one high-impact day. It's all worth it in the end; by filling the room with such explosive potential, we're able to accelerate crucial environmental change."
Attendees will also benefit from our Deep Tech and Climate Tech SuperCluster Showcase featuring 11 deep tech companies focused on industrial decarbonisation solutions. These companies will pitch as their final step on the SuperCluster ClimAccelerator programme run in conjunction with Cambridge Consultants and Climate KIC.
Sam Goodall, co-founder of the Climate Tech SuperCluster and CEO of Cambridge Cleantech, said: "It has never been more important for good climate crisis solutions to be heard, and that's what the SuperCluster ClimAccelerator has been all about.
“Now, at the end of their 16-week programme, those 11 brilliant startups are getting that opportunity through CVD. We can all see how important collaboration and innovation are in the world right now. By bringing together SMEs from across the UK and Europe, we're supporting that foundation of international collaboration and trust for the betterment of the planet. I couldn't be more excited."
Attendees can also expect a wealth of valuable networking opportunities throughout the day, culminating in a drinks reception.
Cleantech Venture Day London will include curated roundtable discussions designed to foster deeper collaboration and knowledge exchange. These intimate, topic-focused sessions will bring together investors, founders, and ecosystem leaders to tackle key challenges in climate tech commercialisation, policy alignment, and scaling innovation across borders.
Special thanks to all our partners and especially to our long-standing ones, J A Kemp and Birketts.
